| Hanoi will be the host venue for Vietnam's Official International Water & Wastewater Show - Vietwater 2008 Expo & Forum to be held 14 - 16 October 2008 at the National Convention Centre ( NCC ). This event, to be hosted by the Southeast Asia Water Utilities Network, is expected to be the largest industry gathering of government officials, regulators, water and wastewater companies, manufacturers, industrials users, consultants and industry experts in Vietnam. | Vietnam is today one of the fastest growing economies in Asia. The continued industrialisation and rural-urban migration has put strains on the nation's water resources to keep up with the demand for potable water. Vietnam's urban population is projected to reach 30.4 million by 2010 and it is estimated that there will be 46 million urban dwellers by 2020. The urbanisation rate is expected to increase to 33 per cent by 2010 and 45 per cent by 2020.
